Change to leadership team.

After 12 years with Mobius Life, Adrian Swales, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), has decided to leave the business. Adrian has been instrumental in the development of Mobius Life from inception through to our current position as the UK market leading institutional investment platform.

Steve Groves, Mobius Chairman said, “Adrian leaves the business in great shape and has put in place an experienced leadership team to ensure this transition will be seamless for our clients. Adrian leaves Mobius Life with our thanks and best wishes".

James Finch, Head of Distribution at Mobius Life, has accepted the role as CEO* and will take on Adrian’s responsibilities from now onwards. James has 25 years’ experience working in leadership positions at JPMorgan Asset Management, Blackrock (formerly Barclays Global Investors), Legal & General Investment Management and most recently as Managing Director in the Global Liquidity Business at UBS Asset Management.

James will focus on leading the business through the next stage of its growth, working closely with our experienced senior management team to support our clients’ and partners existing and emerging needs.

There are still a huge number of UK schemes using LDI as an integral part of their investment strategies as DB schemes mature. We currently host over 100 LDI funds on the platform across 5 LDI managers and do not restrict schemes to a narrow portfolio of LDI funds or only to in-house funds.

Collateral waterfalls for LDI
Mobius Life has introduced automated LDI collateral waterfalls, where our clients nominate in advance which funds will be used to meet future calls and in which order. This means we can automatically use the agreed fund to meet calls without the delay of awaiting instructions.
