Mobius Life launches specialist fund range to make alternative strategies available to more schemes

DB pension schemes seeking access to diversification and growth through alternatives can now access a range of real return property and hedge fund strategies using Mobius Life’s new Specialist Fund range.
The Specialist Fund range is designed to meet consultants’ and trustees’ demands for more sophisticated strategies to meet schemes’ long-term funding and cashflow requirements in today’s low return environment.
The AEW UK Real Return Fund and Gatemore Multi-Asset Fund will now be available on the Mobius platform. Mobius is also planning to add funds focusing on private assets, infrastructure and hedge fund strategies to the Specialist Funds range.
DB schemes will benefit from being able to hold all the schemes’ traditional and alternative assets on a single platform with streamlined dealing and reporting. As the funds are pooled on the Mobius Life platform, smaller schemes will be able to access sophisticated funds which would be restricted to them off-platform due to high minimum investment thresholds.
