01 August 2016

Key staff join from BlackRock and Aberdeen Asset Management.

Institutional investment platform, Mobius Life, has made two senior appointments to its Asset Transfer and Investment Research teams. Steve Robinson joins as Head of Asset Transfers from BlackRock and Michael Jackson joins from Aberdeen Asset Management as Data Integrity & Research Manager.

Steve Robinson was Vice President, DC Transition Strategist at BlackRock where he designed, implemented and managed an asset transition business model for BlackRock’s investment platform clients. He previously worked for Mercer Investment Consulting for 8 years, where he managed the transition team. Previously, Steve gained 10 years’ experience within investment management with Deutsche Asset Management, Barclays Global Investors and Lloyd’s of London.

Michael Jackson joins from Aberdeen Asset Management where he was responsible for outsourced Third Party Administration and segregated manager oversight. He previously worked for a number of leading asset managers and global custodians in fund operations and accounting roles.

Adrian Swales, Chief Executive Officer, Mobius Life, said:
“I am excited that Steve and Michael have joined our team. They bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise. Their knowledge will be a valuable asset to Mobius Life as we move into our next stage of growth. Over the last two years the assets on the Mobius Life platform have grown steadily and now stand at over £8 billion.

“We pride ourselves on our skills in transitioning pension scheme assets onto our platform and moving assets between funds. We take great care to minimise the costs and the out of market risk faced by schemes. Steve’s experience and knowledge will enable us to build further on our expertise in asset transfers.

“Many smaller pension schemes choose to use our governed fund range as it enables them to ensure that the scheme assets are held in funds which have been well researched and are constantly reviewed to ensure they deliver the results expected. Michael’s expertise will extend our fund research capabilities”.
